Spring 2018 has Sprung?
PNM Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program Updates for Spring 2018
The calendar says that the first day of Spring was March 20th. I don’t think the trees around town use the same calendar. Buds and blossoms have been everywhere for weeks! Plus, we may have actually gotten more snow in March than we did in January.
Either way, Spring is HERE! Are you ready for the coming cooling season? PNM and certain water authorities have programs to help save energy, money, and water this season.
- PNM Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program has rebates for high-efficiency lighting, domestic hot water, common laundry facilities, A/C, heatpumps and more!
- PNM Refrigerator Recycling now covers multifamily properties too! Contact Vanessa to qualify your property.
- The Albuquerque Water Authority also has programs and rebates to help you save water!
Saving Energy Saves Water??
Based upon a report from the National Renewable Energies Laboratory (NREL), the national average for freshwater consumption per kilowatt-hour we use is as high as 2.0 gallons! PNM and other utilities have worked to reduce this number, and WE CAN HELP! Choosing options that use less electricity (higher-efficiency A/C, LED lighting, etc.) we can reduce water-use and preserve this resource. Expect more water-saving tips in future posts.
